Ecclestone, FIA & FOTA To Meet
F1-live.com are reporting that the head of FIA max Mosley and Benie Ecclestone are to meet the FOTA (Formula One Teams Association) on Friday in London. This is the first time a meeting like this has been called at such short notice. Most noticeably Bernie Ecclestone is getting involved. The likes of which we haven’t seen since the driver’s strikes and other shenanigans which went on in the late 70s and early 80s. It is obvious that the FIA have perhaps realised that the teams actually mean what their saying. Also the fact Bernie Ecclestone almost laughed off the Ferrari quit threats yet now seems to be taking them slightly more seriously. We wait to see the outcome of the meeting. It will probably just be a preliminary conversation to see where everyone sits on the issue of cost capping. Hopefully it will be productive… We all want to see Formula One continue with the top teams.
